Anoto® technology uses a Digital Pen with built in camera and Bluetooth® radio for communication. The Digital Pen can be used with paper where a fine pattern of dots is printed,
which gives the Digital Pen the position on the paper. Each form has its own unique pattern code, the combination of the pen and the pattern identifies user and form. The recorded
coordinates are sent to the pattern handling application, which translates the coordinates back into readable ink strokes.
